Our Secret is Our Dedication

Our View

Anse aux Herbes is not only a spectacular cove on the Île du Cap-aux-Meules that produces the herbs you taste in our oils, spices and teas, it is the hard work and dedication of Nouane and Alain Lapierre. We pick wild sea parsley when it's full and ready to be dried and grow our other herbs and plants biodynamically.

What are biodynamic agricultural methods? As stated on Wikipedia:
Biodynamic agriculture is a method of organic farming that treats farms as unified and individual organisms, emphasizing balancing the holistic development and interrelationship of the soil, plants and animals as a self-nourishing system without external inputs insofar as this is possible given the loss of nutrients due to the export of food. As in other forms of organic agriculture, artificial fertilizers and toxic pesticides and herbicides are strictly avoided.
Our oils and herbs are not only graced with salty sea air, ocean rains, and pure soil, but also with our tender loving care!

  1. Greetings from Nova Scotia! I am wondering if your sea parsley is related to Lovage (Levisticum officinale). A friend brought me back a jar of Sel au persil de mer and it is divine!
